The cost of monumental success often comes with relentless hard work, unwavering dedication, perseverance, and countless sacrifices. Honestly, many people probably wouldn’t be up for the challenge. For LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, the road to success came with many obstacles and bumps but it’s quite obvious they made it. Now, LeBron has publicly shared with fans what Savannah’s dedication means to him. In a public apology, LeBron apologized to Savannah for the hardships along the way and thanked her for standing by his side.
Addicted To Success: According to the Washington Post, LeBron admitted he’s addicted to success and the hard work that goes into the process. For that, he apologized to his wife. During a recent Road Trippin’ podcast LeBron took part in a discussion with his teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, along with Cleveland Cavaliers’ sideline reporter Allie Clifton. “I am addicted to the process. I’m addicted to the process,” James said. “It’s so funny. I just told my wife the other day, I apologized to her. She was like ‘What are you apologizing for?’ I said ‘Because the journey that I’m on to want to be the greatest to ever play this game or to the point where no one ever forgets what I accomplished, I’ve at times lost the fact of how important you are to this whole thing. … I want you to understand that along this journey while I’m playing this game there will be times that I lose the fact of how important you and my three kids are – my babies are.’
“The whole thing about empowerment of yourself and having your visions become a reality and the more and more that you dream and actually talk about something that you want to do, it can become true,” James said. “That was one of the one things I got out of it. As complex as that book is and as deep as that book is – it is so, so deep – I was able to figure out a way to translate it to my life at that point in time where I was like, oh I can remember when I was the 11-year-old kid and I was telling myself ‘Why me?’ some days and I was always telling myself ‘OK, let’s change the narrative of why me, why us, why are we put in this position? Let’s change the narrative.’ ”
